Introducing NURP at UW

The Neuroscience Undergraduate Reading Program (NURP) is an organization at the University of Washington that pairs undergraduate students and graduate mentors to dive into scientific discoveries in neuroscience. Undergraduate students read a series of scientific papers (selected by their graduate student) to learn how to critically evaluate evidence, hypothesize experiments for future studies, and contextualize primary research in current models with the help of their graduate mentors. Students also share a snapshot of their new knowledge at a quarterly conference attended by the UW neuroscience community. Please explore our website to learn more about our history and how you can participate!
